To celebrate the launch of Lizzie’s new book Home Food, a perfect cookbook for imperfect cooks, she’s created a fridge-magnet meal planner to help lighten the mental load, even just a little.

Let’s be clear - Lizzie is not a meal-prep person. But this simple planner has helped her feel a little more organised, and a little more in control. It helps her see what’s in the fridge, what needs using, what meals lie ahead (which often shift depending on her mood), what to buy, and what she mustn’t forget. She jots down who’s out for the night  (sometimes it’s her, sometimes her husband or one of the kids) and that’s one less mouth to plan for. Because sometimes it really is the little things.
